A new exhibit at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London this spring, entitled, China Design Now, will explore the panaply of design trends that have blossomed in China over the past several years. The organizers say the heart of the exhibit lies in the dreams and inner world of Chinese. Zhang Hongxing, senior asia curator at the musem, says that the goal is to refresh British impressions of Chinese design, which he says are limited to images of dragons and the Red Guard.
