Fourteen Listed Banks May Need 460 Billion Yuan For Refinancing

So far, 14 listed banks have announced refinancing plans worth 463.5 billion yuan, according to the journalists’ calculations.

“Because of stricter supervision, banks have to refinance to ease the pressure on their capital”, says Mu Hua, the analyst of GF Securities.

Compared with 2010, this year banks have preferred to raise funds by issuing bonds rather than equity.
