Outbound FDI To Grow 17% a Year

The Ministry of Commerce predicts that overseas expenditure by Chinese investors will total $560 billion in the five years to 2015.


During the period of the 12th Five Year Plan, the ministry expects China’s outward foreign direct investment to grow by an average of 17 percent, while the country’s inbound foreign direct investment will be around $120 billion a year by 2015.


The ministry also expects consumer goods sales to grow by an average of 15% a year, and is targeting annual growth of trade in services of 11% a year.
