The Shanxi Federation of Trade Unions has said that state-controlled enterprises will have to publish the salary, bonus and allowances of their executives, following a decision by the province’s government.

The executives will also be required to make public their expenditure on housing, vehicles, communication and foreign trips.

The federation’s notice emphasizes employees’ right to be informed of the all big changes at state-owned companies, including major personnel reshuffles and restructuring projects.

There will be surveys of employees to assess support for executives, and if over 15% employees mistrust an executive, he will be given a warning. If he is mistrusted by more than 30 percent of staff, he will be dismissed or demoted.

The notice also reinforces the employees’ right to know the details of how they income was determined.

The notice doesn’t mention how the information will be published and the legal office of the Shanxi communist party committee told the Caixin reporter that the office knew nothing about it.
