Majority of Bankers Expect "Moderate" Monetary Policy in Third Quarter

Results of a survey conducted by the People's Bank of China revealed that nearly 56% of bankers across the country are expecting "moderate" monetary policy in the third quarter, up 8.3 perentage points from the results of the survey conducted in the second quarter. The amounts of new loans released in July and August were 355.9 billion and 410.4 billion yuan respectively, much less than the average monthly amount of 1.2 trillion yuan that was released in the first six months of this year.
