China's State Council today announced the 14 cities chosen to pilot the first tranche of the central government's grand plan to integrate phone, internet and cable television services across the country. The cities chosen to pilot the "three network integration" project are: Beijing, Harbin, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Xiamen, Qingdao, Wuhan, the Changzhutan area (which refers to the cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan in Hunan), Shenzhen and Mianyang.
