China to Tackle Inadequate Number of Kindergartens

More state-owned and privately-owned kindergartens will be established to solve the problem of China's lack of kindergartens, Premier Wen Jiabao stated at the National Education Working Meeting held on June 13 and 14 in Beijing. He also said China would promote private education and increase efforts to provide equal legal status for students and teachers in both public and private schools.
