Beijing has applied to implement the National Emission Standard V for motor vehicles early, said Du Shaozhong, deputy director of Beijing’s environmental protection bureau, at the “China Car Industry Development International Forum (2010)” yesterday.
It is said that every new National Emission Standard increase results in a 30% to 50% decrease of pollutants emitted by a single car.
