Beijing Plans to Construct Highway Connecting to Taiwan

The Chinese mainland is planning to construct a highway connecting Beijing and Taiwan; the Beijing government's April 19 announcement was reported in the United Daily News, a Taiwan-based newspaper. It said, such a speedway is will not only be an engineering feat, but will be a political project that indicates the mainland's determination to unite the whole nation.
