China's Stock Index Futures Begin Trading

China's stock index futures market began trading today, with four contracts appearing in Shanghai and on the Shenzhen stock exchange. 9,137 accounts have been opened as of April 15th, 8,944 of which have been opened by individual investors and 193 have been opened by (non-investment related) companies.
